NOT HERE TO MAKE FRIENDS: A Night Inside the Making of Reality Television

  • Idaho Film Society 1212 West Bannock Street Boise, ID, 83702 United States (map)

You've watched it. You've judged it. You've probably binged more of it than you'll admit. But how does reality television actually get made? IFS member and industry television editor Wilton Cruz — whose credits span Top Chef, Below Deck, The Real Housewives of New York, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and Southern Hospitality — pulls back the curtain on one of Hollywood's most misunderstood crafts. We'll dig into the villain edit, the dark art of the Frankenbite, the strategic deployment of the reaction shot, and what it actually takes to shape hundreds of hours of raw footage into the stories millions of people can't stop watching. Moderated by IFS Head Curator Dan McNinch.

Tickets are $20 (Includes a glass of wine).

This one is going to be a conversation!
