A Page of Madness - With Live Benshi Score
IFS and the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre present a rare cinematic experience: Teinosuke Kinugasa’s 1926 silent fever dream A Page of Madness, performed with a live benshi narrator and original score. Benshi were performers who provided live commentary and translation for silent films in Japan, influenced by kabuki and other theatrical traditions.
Co-presented with the University of Idaho’s Habib Institute for Asian Studies and the Idaho Humanities Council, this one-night event resurrects one of Japan’s most electrifying films as it was meant to be seen and heard.
Tickets: $20 / Members $15.

Masterclass with Marvel Studios Lawyer Nigel Goodwin
Saturday, November 8th | 1:00-3:00 PM | The Station IFS Theater
$20 ($15 for members) | Limited Seating
The Idaho Film Society welcomes home one of Idaho’s own — Nigel Goodwin, Associate Principal Counsel of Business & Legal Affairs at Marvel Studios, for a special evening of stories, insights, and inspiration.
From Loki to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to Deadpool & Wolverine, Nigel has been behind the scenes of some of the biggest films and series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He’ll share a rare insider’s perspective on what it’s like to negotiate with actors, writers, and directors, navigate the high-stakes world of studio filmmaking, and support Marvel’s iconic creative teams.
But beyond Hollywood, this evening is about connection — Nigel grew up in Eagle, Idaho, and his path from small-town Idaho kid to Marvel Studios attorney is proof that there’s no single way into the film industry. Whether you’re a filmmaker, storyteller, or film fan, this talk is a reminder that the creative world needs voices from everywhere — especially Idaho.
