LED & IFS Presents: Moves & Movies

  • LED 3300 East Chinden Boulevard Garden City, ID, 83713 United States (map)

This festival-style event brings together screenings of our feature films alongside movies that have inspired our work over the years. Each evening is paired with a live performance, offering a rare opportunity to experience the movement you see on screen brought to life in real time.

The weekend also includes the first-ever screening of Silver City, our stage creation adapted for the screen, as well as our celebrated feature film RUIN, directed by IFS’s Aidan Brezonick and written and choreographed by LED’s Lauren Edson.

Join us for a single evening, or immerse yourself in the full weekend of cinematic and choreographic magic.

FESTIVAL SCHEDULE

THURSDAY, MAY 14 — LED + FRIENDS

Kick off the festival with a vibrant collection of short films created by LED alongside some of our favorite collaborators from across the country. This eclectic evening offers a glimpse into the creative community that continues to inspire and shape our work. A celebratory start to the weekend.

FRIDAY, MAY 15 — SILVER CITY

Be part of a milestone moment with the first-ever screening of Silver City, our stage creation reimagined for the screen. This cinematic adaptation follows a lone cowboy on his pursuit of prosperity, while a ragtag group of misfits stir up trouble in a saloon along the way. Blending theatricality with film, Silver City is a bold exploration of storytelling across mediums.

SATURDAY, MAY 16 — SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN

Join us for a screening of the iconic Singin’ in the Rain, a film that has influenced our love of dance on camera. Overflowing with charm, humor, and unforgettable movement, this beloved classic invites us back to the roots of musical storytelling.

SUNDAY, MAY 17 — RUIN

Close out the weekend with Ruin, a striking film created during the pandemic. When a show is unexpectedly canceled, five unassuming employees find themselves drawn to the stage, uncovering moments of connection, vulnerability, and transformation in the absence of an audience. Directed by IFS’s Aidan Brezonick.
